8 Species most common to SW FL waters
Bull Shark: The name, “bull shark”, comes from the shark’s stocky shape, broad, flat snout and aggressive unpredictable behavior. Learn More about Bull Sharks here
Black Nose Shark: The blacknose shark has a slender, streamlined body with a long, rounded snout and large eyes. Blacknose sharks feed primarily on small bony fish. Learn More about Black Nose Sharks here
Lemon Shark: The Lemon shark prefers shallow water, rarely exceeding depths of more that 90m (300ft). Common places you’re likely to find a Lemon shark are coral reefs, mangroves, sheltered bays and river mouths. The lemon shark gets its name because of its pale yellow brown coloring.
